(Wow, this is tough to put into the right words) This is a sad day for myself as President and Founder of the National Disaster Response Team, for I have to make this announcement to all who visit this page.
As of today, Saturday Novemember 19th 2011, one month shy of our 4th year as a disaster response organization, the National Disaster Response Team will be out of commission for an unknown specific amount of time.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of financial assistance from the Private and Corporate Sector (and with the fact that I can no longer afford to fund the organization myself), the need for vehicles, trailers, equipment, and supplies, are too great a burden to stay operational at this time.
To put it plainly, without fancy words folks, We (NDRT) don't have the right equipment and supplies to do the job that I had created this organization for ... Economic times, as they are, have forced donations to almost any organization into nothingness, and the NDRT is no exception.
I have been truely blessed and honor to have been able to help a wide arrange of people, individuals, groups, a city, even several fire depts ... and I look forward to the day when I can do more.
But for now;
To the American people, to those we may have been able to help, I ask your forgiveness. Forgiveness for not being able to do more to help in the times to come ... I'm sorry.
Sincerely;
Christopher M. Perry
NDRT President & Founder
P.S.:
The greatest moment of this organization was when someone other than myself thought that the mission of this organization, the dedication to it's goals, and the desire to help those we needed help the most, was worth it.
Please; stay safe and alert. Thank you all.
God bless humanity, for we are all one race on this planet.
